Delaney was 2nd in exam, 9th in stations and judging, and 5th overall.

Charlotte was 8th in exam, and 11th overall.

Horse Judging

Matthew was 7th in reasons, 13th in performance, and 12th overall.

Charlotte was 1st in halter, 3rd in performance, 1st in reasons, and 1st overall!

Equismartz 2012

Bit N Bridle 4-Hers did great at Equismartz!

Delaney was 1st in individual senior horse bowl, 1st in senior presentation, 2nd in horse judging, and 2nd in hippology.

Charlotte was 10th in junior hippology, 8th individual in horse bowl, 8th in horse judging, and 6th in presentation.

District

On March 3rd, two members of the Orange County Bit N’ Bridle club traveled to Ruckersville to compete in the District horse presentation, hippology, and horse bowl contests.

 

Delaney received a blue danish ribbon in the senior category for her presentation on the history of the horse. Charlotte received a red danish ribbon in the junior division for her presentation on horse colors.

 

In hippology, Delaney placed 7th in the exam, 4th in stations, 10th in horse judging, and 5th overall. Competing with Warren county, her team was 1st in exam, 2nd in stations, 1st in team problem, 2nd in judging, and 1st overall.

 

In horse bowl, Delaney was the 1st place senior individual, and was on the 1st place team.

 

Charlotte, on a team with Albemarle county, was on the 3rd place junior team in horse bowl.

Block & Bridle

On February 17th-18th, two members of the Orange County Bit N’ Bridle 4-H Club combined with Albemarle 4-H to form teams to compete in the Block & Bridle Hippology And Horse Judging Contest.

In senior judging, Delaney placed 4th in halter, 2nd in performance, 2nd in reasons, and 2nd overall as an individual. As a team, they placed 1st in halter, 2nd in performance, 2nd in reasons, and 1st overall.

In the junior judging division, Charlotte placed 2nd in performance and 7th overall as an individual. As a team, they were 2nd in halter, 1st in performance, 1st in reasons, and 1st overall.

In hippology, Charlotte was 8th in test and slides, and 11th overall. Her team was 4th in test and slides, 4th in stations and judging, and 4th overall.

Delaney was 3rd in test and slides, 2nd in stations and judging, and 2nd overall. Their team was 2nd in test and slides, 4th in stations and judging, 2nd in team problem, and 2nd overall.

Northern District Horse Judging Contest

On December 10th, Delaney and Charlotte attended the Northern District Horse Judging Contest.

They judged eight classes of horses; for halter classes they saw Norwegian Fjords in-hand, Hunters in-hand, Quarter Horse geldings at halter, and Warmbloods in-hand. For performance they judged Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Dressage Suitability, and Driving.

After a long morning judging in the cold, they then spent the afternoon giving reasons, defending their placing of the classes. Charlotte gave reasons on the Quarter Horse halter class, and was one of only four juniors to receive a Blue Danish Ribbon! Delaney gave reasons on Quarter Horse halter, and Dressage Suitability. She placed third out of nine in senior reasons.

Overall, Charlotte placed second in halter, fourth in performance, and third overall. Delaney was ninth in halter, sixth in performance, and 7th overall.
